About Northway
A small practice, on purpose.
Dana spent twelve years running operations for a family-owned distributor in the next county over, the last four as general manager. She started Northway in 2014 after watching a good business almost fail over a pricing sheet nobody had touched since 2009.
She works the way she was managed at her best: show up, look at the real numbers, say the uncomfortable thing early, and stay until the change holds.
Owen handles the data work behind every engagement: pulling job costs out of whatever system they live in, building the margin picture, and keeping the thirteen-week cash view honest.

The approach
Four things we do the same way every time.

Your numbers, not our framework
We do not arrive with a model to sell. We arrive with questions, and the first answers come out of your own job costs and bank statements.

Say it early
If the pricing is the problem and you asked about hiring, you hear that in week one. Softening it costs you a quarter.

Write it down
Every engagement leaves paper behind: a memo, a process page, a scoring sheet. Advice you cannot hand to someone else is not finished.

Leave properly
The goal is a business that runs the new way without a monthly invoice from us. Plenty of clients stay anyway. That should be a choice.

Where we work

Most of the work happens in person, at your place, in the room where the problem lives. We keep the practice inside a comfortable drive of Harbor Bend so that stays practical.
